A few years ago, I ran across this Christmas ornament in our local Christian bookstore. I bought one for us and several as gifts. There is a poem with it and an explanation of how it came about. It’s a very simple tradition, but it always brings tears to my eyes. The idea is to hang the nail on a sturdy branch inside the tree. It is a quiet reminder to our family that Christ came as a sacrifice for our sins and that he hung on a tree for us.
