There are two books that we have used during Advent to help our daughters focus on the meaning of Christmas. The first one was given to them by their Aunt Julie. It was soft cover and once it wore out I ordered a new one. I wasn’t able to find the original, but the second one was just as good, and it was hardcover so it’s held up much better. There is a scripture reading for each day of Advent followed by a paragraph or two of devotional thought written in kid-friendly language. Then there is something in the picture for the kids to seek and find each day. My girls have loved this tradition. Now that they are a bit older (9 and 11), they still enjoy the books, but can remember where most of the items are. These books are especially good for families with young children who enjoy interactive learning.
