Kid Friendly Recipe

I came up with this recipe last night and it was a hit! My girls loved these things.

Taco Pockets

  1. 1 lb taco seasoned hamburger
  2. grated cheddar cheese
  3. 2 tubes of Pillsbury crescent roll
  4. can of refried beans

Brown a pound of hamburger and season it. You can use a taco seasoning packet. I season mine with garlic powder, onion flakes, cummin, paprika, salt, and pepper. I don’t measure; I just have a feel for the amounts my family likes.

Grate some cheddar cheese or purchase a packet of grated cheese.

Pinch two triangles of crescent roll dough together to make a large rectangle. Flatten out a bit and spread a thin layer of beans into the center of the rectangle. Leave a little of the edges uncovered. Add a spoon of taco meat and top with grated cheese. Fold corners of crescent dough over the top of the filling and pinch closed. Place pocket seam side down on a cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven until dough turns golden brown (10-15 minutes).
